Focus: Transitions at the interfaces between school, vocational training and studies

The Second Education Report of the City of Jena 2019 on the focus of the transitions at the interfaces between school, vocational training and higher education is now available at data-based education management available for download. The report focuses on social conditions, graduation from general education schools in Jena, career orientation, vocational training and higher education in Jena. As cross-sectional topics, a special focus is placed on gender differences, migration background, special educational needs and disability as well as regional mobility.

Objective: Data-based municipal education management

The Education Report of the City of Jena 2019 is the next step in the series of data-based education reports that will map lifelong learning at the municipal level. The aim is to make education policy decisions in a data-based, targeted and transparent way and thus create the best possible framework for successful educational biographies of all Jena citizens.

The education report was developed within the framework of the "Integrated Education" programme. The aim of the program, which the city of Jena has been implementing since 2016, is to establish a data-based municipal education management system.
