Jena School Fair 2023 - Review

After a break in 2021 due to the pandemic, the Jena School Fair on 14.01.2023 was once again very well received. Around 3,200 parents, children and other interested parties came to the fair to find out more. At times, a long queue formed in front of the Volkshaus. In the first half hour, 1000 visitors were already counted at the fair!

There were 35 exhibiting schools from Jena, including all independent and state general education schools and four vocational schools, as well as two schools from the Jena area. The Jena school administration, the East Thuringia state education authority together with the Jena support center and the Jupiter project from JenaWirtschaft also provided on-siteadvice .

We would like to thank all exhibitors for answering countless questions, for example about school profiles, the application process and student and parent participation in school life. We would also like to thank all visitors for their interest in the Jena school landscape and for their patience while waiting at the entrance.

The next fair is expected to take place in January 2025 in the Volkshaus Jena with an expanded exhibitor area for more space . Further information will be published on the Jena school portal in fall 2024 .
